The amazing musical work of Mike Oldfield (which deserves five stars) up until about is well represented in this collection, and therefore well worth to own. However, the sound quality on these CDs is really poor. If you want a better and more recent compilation of Mike Oldfield's work, I recommend the three CD set "The Platinum Collection"/5(68).

  7. Mami says:
As is implied in its title, this album features the essential pieces of Oldfield's career up to Every track is beautiful, but it's really a shame that Mike's longer 'symphonies' (i.e. Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge etc.) had to be crippled to fit on one CD/5(17).
