  1. Mazuktilar says:
Diffraction is the slight bending of light as it passes around the edge of an object. The amount of bending depends on the relative size of the wavelength of light to the size of the opening. If the opening is much larger than the light's wavelength.
  2. Fenrizshura says:
The diffraction phenomena of the atmosphere are produced by the water drops of clouds and fog, or sometimes by fine dust. Diffraction, a term applied to the bending that rays of light undergo in passing close to the edge of an opaque body.
  3. Negrel says:
(Redirected from X-ray diffraction) A powder x-ray diffractometer in motion X-ray crystallography (XRC) is the experimental science determining the atomic and molecular structure of a crystal, in which the crystalline structure causes a beam of incident X-rays to diffract into many specific directions.
  4. Tautilar says:
Diffraction is the spreading out of waves as they pass through an aperture or around objects. It occurs significantly when the size of the aperture or obstacle is of similar linear dimensions to the wavelength of the incident wave. It happens when a part of the travelling wavefront is obscured.
  5. Nigor says:
Chen, P.Y., , Table of key lines in X-ray powder diffraction patterns of minerals in clays and associated rocks: Geological Survey Occasional Paper 21, Indiana Geological Survey Report 21, 67 p.
  6. Kazrasida says:
Diffraction is the concept that is explained using Huygens’s Principle, and is defined as the bending of a wave around the edges of an opening or an obstacle. This principle can be used to define reflection, as shown in the figure. It can also be used to explain refraction and interference. Anything that experiences this phenomenon is a wave.
  7. Mikazuru says:
diffraction definition: Diffraction is defined as a process by which light waves break up into dark and light bands or into the colors of the spectrum. (noun) Light passing through a narrow opening in the blinds, causing bright and dark shadows and patter.
  8. Fenrimuro says:
Diffraction definition is - a modification which light undergoes especially in passing by the edges of opaque bodies or through narrow openings and in which the rays appear to be deflected; also: a similar modification of other waves (such as sound waves) or of moving particles (such as electrons).
